Michelin has joined forces with Eurosport Events , promoter of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), to organise the ERC-MICHELIN Talent Factory for drivers aged under 28.
With an unrivalled record of 350 wins and 58 titles at WRC level to its name, Michelin has decided to provide support for the FIA European Rally Championship’s youngsters in 2021.
Drivers of Rally2 cars equipped with tyres from its Customer Racing range will benefit from aid in the form of discounted prices, personalised advice and valuable media coverage.
The best-placed driver in the series after the first six rounds (gravel and asphalt) will be given tyres for the closing fixtures, in Hungary and the Canary Islands, while the year’s top-three finishers will be invited to tour Michelin’s factory in Clermont-Ferrand, France, to see how their tyres are made.
Since the turn of the century, its successful run has continued with successive generations of Peugeot, Renault, Citroën, Fiat-Abarth and Skoda challengers, to name but them.
