IMSA: Michelin tire performance in hot conditions guides Paul Miller Racing BMW to first GTD Pro win

27/08/2024

The performance of Michelin tires in hot conditions and strategy by No. 1 Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers conquer the 17-turn, 3.27-mile road course at VIR. The win marked Paul Miller Racing BMW’s first in GTD Pro win.

“Michelin always delivers a great tire and the best tire,” Sellers said. “The fact that they can hold up and their ability to hold up in these conditions is impressive.”

Snow and Sellers started on the pole and remained dominant throughout the 2-hour and 40-minute race, which had just one full-course yellow.

“At the end of the race, everyone was able to run just as fast as at the beginning,” Sellers said. “You know, it’s just what we’ve come to expect from Michelin.”

Snow and Sellers advanced their position in the championship standings, currently sitting in third with two endurance races left this season.
