MotoE: The new MICHELIN Power MotoE range lives up to expectations at the 2023 MotoE opener

14/05/2023

This year's FIM ENEL MotoETM action got under way at the SHARK Grand Prix de France with two races to celebrate the series' promotion to FIM world-championship status. Michelin's new tires for the all-electric bikes - now provided by Ducati - contain an even higher proportion of sustainable materials, but that didn't prevent them from breaking more MotoETM records at Le Mans!

The new all-electric Ducati bikes chosen for the 2023 FIM Enel MotoETM World Championship are equipped with Michelin front and rear tires that contain 34 and 52 percent sustainable materials respectively. The series continues to fit perfectly with Groupe Michelin's target of incorporating an average proportion of 40 percent raw materials in all its tires by 2023.

The latest MICHELIN Power MotoETM range's competitive potential was confirmed at the campaign's opener by the establishment of new track-lap and race-lap records for the Le Mans-Bugatti loop.

Winner of the weekend's first clash was two-time MotoE™ World Cup victor Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar Team), while pole-sitter Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE) clocked the above records on his way to claiming Race 2.

The second round of the 2023 FIM ENEL MotoETM World Championship will form part of the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley package on June 9-11.
