Tire strategy played a pivotal role once again at this year’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, delivering Porsche Penske Motorsport’s third consecutive win of the season with the No. 7 driven by Nick Tandy and Felipe Nasr. Porsche also claimed victory in GTD with a fan-favorite appearance from Rexy—the No. 177 AO Racing entry piloted by Laurens Vanthoor and Jonny Edgar.
The performance of Michelin tires in hot conditions and strategy by No. 1 Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers helped them conquer the 17-turn, 3.27-mile road course at VIR. The win marked Paul Miller Racing BMW’s first in GTD Pro.
